Media Changer Deluxe V3.0a Update
for Windows NT 4.0 Beta 2
by Swoosie Software
Media Changer Deluxe is a suite of applications designed
to make your Windows 95 or NT 4.0 desktop more fun. It
provides the ability to automatically change your system
sounds, wallpaper bitmap, screen saver, and Microsoft
Plus! desktop theme.
You must have Media Changer Deluxe Version 3.0 already
installed on your computer in order to use this update.
Extract MChanger.EXE from this archive and copy it over
the version you already have (which is normally stored
in Program Files\Media Changer Deluxe\Program).
Known problems with Windows NT 4.0 Beta 2:
- the Customize button on the Screen Saver tab of
MCSetup.EXE will not operate correctly under
Windows NT 4.0 Beta 2. This problem will be
addressed by the time the final version of Windows
NT 4.0 is shipped by Microsoft.
- Plus! support has not been tested nor do we
expect that it will be available under Windows
NT 4.0 (though we have no idea of Microsoft's
plans concerning Plus! and NT 4.0). This means
as far as we know there is no way to get themes
working under NT 4.0, but again, we have not
tried to install Plus!, so we are not sure.
Stretch is built into NT 4.0, so the auto-stretch
feature of Media Changer Deluxe is operational
in NT 4.0.
